Today marks the one year anniversary of Frik’In Hell. It really doesn’t feel like it’s been that long, and one of the reasons is because Episode #27 was just released today. On average it takes me about 5-10 hours per episode but that time is spread out over days and weeks as this is not my full time job and I have to squeeze in time to work on it amongst all my other stuff going on in my life.
Over the course of this past year, this comic has caused me happiness and grief all at the same time. One minute I want to walk away from it forever, and the next minute I want to give it a giant hug. My style of humor isn’t for everyone and the low viewer numbers have proven it to be true time and time again. I’ve been depressed on many occasions because I never seem to be able to get the viewership to rise no matter what I do.
But what I do know is that there are a good handful of readers who have come here since day one and haven’t walked away. It’s you guys and gals who have given me a glimmer of hope and have kept me going with this side project of mine. I want to thank you all for taking time to read my comic. I may have scrapped this thing a long time ago if it weren’t for you. Thank you very much, I REALLY do appreciate it!
What’s in store for Frik for the next year? I have two pages of ideas for future episodes but I have to work out a way to tie them all together. Right now this current story arc is taking longer than I had planned, so once this is out of the way I’ll be able to tackle other ideas I’ve had for a while. So please stay tuned and please tell all your friends to come and read this!
