Digicon comes to a close

The Digicon is the world’s first internet comic convention and it took place September 10-11, 2011. This was created for all the people who could never make it to the real conventions. 49 artists participated and you could watch them create artwork live via video feeds and talk to them in chat rooms. Panel discussions and live artist events took place as well. It was a great time!

Fans who came to the online comic convention called Digicon received this free hi-res printable image of Frik dressed up in Cosplay. He’s dressed as Doctor Who #4 for those who don’t know. (this is a low res version)

Since it was an online con you never got to see the 300 pound people wearing tights, so a lot of artists put their characters in cosplay and posted them so at least we had something in cosplay at this con. :P

First read this article and be appalled:http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2011/09/07/a-chance-to-do-something-nice-for-a-comics-fan-who-could-use-a-little-niceness/

One artist at the Digicon brought this up to everyone before the con started and we all decided to band together and draw Superman related stuff and mail it to this man who had his entire collection stolen by a loser who worked with him.

Some people drew just Superman, and others like myself drew him in our comic’s style, incorporating our characters too. This is my contribution to the effort.
