A six year old asks….
My six year old son loves my comic although he doesn’t actually read it. He always draws his version of Frik with all the other characters and makes his own comic books using sheets of paper stapled together. He refers to the Burger Wench as “Burger Watch” because I’m not ready to discuss with a 6 year old what a Wench is exactly so I just let it go.
Well recently he asked me, “Why is it called Burger Watch? There’s no burgers in that restaurant!” That’s a great question kid. The term “hamburger” has been around since 1885-1890, and one of the definitions of it is “ground or chopped beef.” So by that standard, serving “buckets of meat” in the Burger Wench is still technically correct because it is in fact, chopped beef.
If YOU have a question about the comic that’s been getting under your skin recently, email todd@frikinhell.com and ask, and I’ll post it and the answer!
